The role requires a minimum of 4 years of Software Engineering experience, which can be demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. Desired technical experience includes 4+ years of hands-on engineering with Python, Spark, Iceberg, Hive, and Dremio or similar virtualization/federation/semantic layer tools. Experience with any major cloud platform such as Azure or GCP is also desired, along with ETL tools like Ab Initio, Informatica, or DataStage, and databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, or Teradata. Orchestration tools like Autosys or Airflow are preferred. Strong SQL development and tuning skills are necessary, as is proven experience supporting and optimizing large enterprise-scale data environments and working with modern Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse architectures. Expertise in designing and implementing modern data platforms with standardization, automated code-generation, CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-native open-table formats is expected. Hands-on experience in GenAI, Agentic AI, and LLM adoption, including building RAG architectures, vector stores, embedding pipelines, and integrating data systems with enterprise AI platforms, is also a requirement.
