The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable AI governance services within the Data and AI Platform organization. The engineer will build the AI Observatory product to provide an inventory of machine learning models and ensure oversight of their full lifecycle. Responsibilities include assessing model accuracy, transparency, fairness, and robustness while integrating domain-specific models into a unified framework. The position requires collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure AI systems meet ethical and regulatory standards. Additionally, the engineer will investigate emerging technologies and prototype solutions to support the enterprise's strategic goals in Generative AI.

Candidates must possess at least 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 2 years with an Advanced degree, or a PhD. Required technical competencies include proficiency in Python or React.js, as well as experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. The role requires a strong understanding of agentic frameworks and experience developing applications that leverage Generative AI models. Furthermore, candidates should have experience addressing AI governance issues such as bias, drift, risk, privacy, and security.
