Job Description Olssons Facility Engineering and Design Team leads the way in engineering innovation, delivering comprehensive solutions for data centers, healthcare facilities, commercial developments, educational institutions, and military installations. As a Senior Telecom Designer, youll play a key role in supporting Data Center projects, developing innovative telecommunications and low-voltage system designs that enable scalable, high-performance infrastructure to meet the demands of an evolving digital landscape. This is an opportunity to collaborate with top engineers and clients, ensuring secure, efficient, and future-ready telecom systems that support global data operations. Key Responsibilities: Design advanced telecommunications and low-voltage systems for data centers. Develop detailed layouts for MDF/IDF/Demarc rooms, fiber/copper cabling, wireless access, and security systems. Utilize BIM/CAD tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) to create high-precision models and layouts. Ensure compliance with industry standards (BICSI, TIA) and best practices for data center infrastructure. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate telecom designs with mechanical, electrical, and security systems. Mentor junior designers and technicians, sharing expertise to elevate design quality. Conduct site visits to validate designs and ensure seamless implementation in mission-critical data centers. Ability to contribute and work well on a team. 8+ years of CAD/BIM experience in telecom, low voltage, or structured cabling design. Experience in data center design or mission-critical facilities (preferred). RCDD certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain. Strong knowledge of BICSI and TIA standards. Experience in Cellular DAS, PSDAS, ROIP, and ERRCS design is a plus. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
