Job Description Olssons South Facilities Engineering and Design Team is growing, and were looking for a Security Systems Designer to support data center projects. This role focuses on designing and integrating security systems to protect mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring seamless access control, incursion detection, and surveillance solutions. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and clients to develop state-of-the-art security systems, leveraging the latest in physical security technology to meet the high standards of data center protection. Key Responsibilities: Design physical layer security systems for data centers, including access control, intrusion detection, surveillance, and monitoring systems. Develop detailed layouts for security infrastructure, coordinating with telecommunications and facility teams. Utilize BIM/CAD tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) to produce high-precision security system models. Ensure compliance with industry security (ASIS) standards. Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate security systems with telecommunications and building automation. Conduct site visits and risk assessments to support system implementation and project success. Stay up to date on emerging security technologies and best practices for high-security environments.
