Job Description Our client is searching for an engineer who will sit directly on a newly formed technology team supporting a new commodities and energy trading desk, partnering closely with PMs, traders, and risk teams to build and enhance the desks technology stack. The engineer will work handson with OpenLink (Endur) to support trade capture, lifecycle management, risk, and PnL across multiple commodity asset classes including power, natural gas, metals, and agricultural products. Daytoday responsibilities include developing and enhancing OpenLink components, integrating market data and downstream systems, improving realtime risk and PnL reporting, and supporting the desk through the full trading lifecycle. The role will also involve working on system integrations, data distribution, and tooling to support a scalable, highperformance frontoffice environment as the desk grows. This is a highly visible, frontofficealigned position where the engineer will contribute directly to the success of a new PM platform within the firm. The role requires 5-15+ years of software engineering experience, with hands-on OpenLink (Endur) development. Strong Java and .NET development experience is necessary, along with some Python. A deep understanding of commodities and energy trading workflows, including physical and financial commodities, trade lifecycle, scheduling, and settlements, is essential. Proven experience enhancing or supporting trade capture, risk and PnL, market data integrations, and intraday reports is required. Strong knowledge of system integration and data distribution, including event-driven architectures and real-time and batch processing, is also needed. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. Experience working on new desk launches and familiarity with cloud or modern deployment patterns are beneficial.
