To learn more about Mission Technologies, click here for a short video: Essential Job Responsibilities Support the planning, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of secure network infrastructures supporting Department of the Air Force (DAF) mission systems. Configure, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices. Perform network performance analysis, fault isolation, and rootcause investigations to ensure high availability and reliability. Assist with network upgrades, technology refreshes, and the integration of new systems or capabilities. Implement and maintain network security controls aligned with DoW and DAF cybersecurity policies. Support accreditation, compliance, and documentation activities under RMF and related processes. Maintain documentation including network diagrams, configuration baselines, SOPs, and change records. Provide user support and technical guidance to onsite personnel and mission operators. Participate in oncall or afterhours support as required by mission operations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years of handson experience supporting enterprise or tactical network environments. Working knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking concepts, IP routing, VLANs, ACLs, and basic network security. Experience configuring and maintaining common network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, Aruba). Ability to perform network troubleshooting using standard tools and methodologies. DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CYSA+), or ability to obtain within required timeframe. Active TS/SCI clearance. Preferred Requirements Experience supporting DoW, DAF, or other government/missioncritical environments. Familiarity with RMF, STIGs, and DoW cybersecurity compliance requirements. Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, ManageEngine). Knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure enclave configurations. Experience supporting tactical or austere communications platforms. Advanced vendor certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIS, Network+ CE). Experience with VoIP, unified communications, or radio/IP integration. Strong documentation and changemanagement discipline.
